Silence is Golden
For my 40th year on the planet I decided to climb Mt Tohepia in the Pioneer Mountains. Let me tell you I had no idea what that meant. All I knew was I had to carry about 35 lbs. on my back and walk. This little adventure could fill a novel with everything I learned that week. The main points were that in life the less we carry the better. I climbed with women younger and more fit than I who couldn’t make it because of all everything going on between their ears. We spent an hour of silence at the top of this mountain where we reflected on our lives. It was there that the decision to leave the corporate world came to me. It would take another year to figure out how to do so but it was the best decision I ever made. My suggestion is if you aren’t clear with your life should take you to try and outward bound adventure or Harv Eker camps. By pushing yourself to do things you didn’t know you had in you, you will become more you and achieve more than you imagined.
