I always enjoy showing our clients space. It is interesting to see space through their eyes. I may think something is great and they may not. One of the biggest differences between residential and commercial real estate is the tour. When you working in residential, all an agent needs to do is call the agent and get the lock box number. For commercial properties, the listing agent truly shows the space. Imagine trying to show 10 locations in one day and having to coordinate their schedules with yours. It can be trying at times. If it is the day before a major holiday, forget it! They will not be available. If one agent is late, the entire tour gets messed up. Then we are trying to let everyone else know we will be running late. It can get complicated. Next time your agent tells you they have to set up a tour, you will know why it takes more than a couple of minutes. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes!
