Landlord and List Agents, Please Help Us Out

As a tenant representative this is my advice for landlords and agents representing them:

  1. Don’t over promise improvements when showing the space.  My clients will remember what you told us and think the landlord doesn’t want them when you can’t deliver.  Under sell and over deliver is always better.
  2. It does matter what the space looks like when you are showing it.  There is a great landlord out there in the City of Detroit.  I stopped showing his buildings because my tenants couldn’t stand the clutter.  Space with no paper, waste or furniture makes it easier for the tenant to imagine themselves in the space.

Please provide us with Floor plans in advance so I can put them into our tour booklets.  It makes us both look more professional.
