What goodies might you negotiate into your lease?
In many buildings, there are extras you might consider adding to your wish list, such as:
- Extra storage for free during a certain time of year
- Instead of free rent in your first year, you could take the free rent over the course of the lease during the months with the lowest revenue
- Free covered/underground parking
- Parking spaces outside your door assigned to your firm
- Landlord to pay for your signage
- If another tenant moves out and has a great reception desk, ask to have it moved into your offices
- Use of freight elevator for free if the landlord normally charges for it
- Use of conference room
- Use of fitness center for free
- Use lobby for company party
- Use of furniture left behind by another tenant
