Giving Back
When I was younger, I did a lot of volunteer work. It ranged from raising money for a nonprofit to sitting on various boards for industry-related businesses. As I got older, and gained more responsibility and a family, it got harder to find the time to do these things. My family is now grown, and I felt it was time to start volunteering again. This time around, I’m dedicating my time to young ladies from low-income families. My goal is to teach them that they can be or do anything in life, no matter where they sit. I’ve found that it’s so much fun being around young people! I love their energy. They have clear slates with so many options before them. They bring me joy. This holiday season, I encourage you to find a nonprofit that works with kids of all ages and spend time with our youth. It will keep you young at heart. Happy Holidays.
