CRE Mistake Series: Mistake – Keep Your Eyes Open

CRE Math Series: Expect Exaggeration

A landlord representative’s, also known as listing agent’s, job is to sell you the space. They often exaggerate and tell the tenant the landlord will do anything to get them as a tenant. Often these are verbal discussions and none of it makes it into the lease. The tenant is then mad at the owner when they move in and all the “promises” made by the agent aren’t included. Get anything that is important to you written into the lease, or you won’t have a leg to stand on.
