What Was Your Oddest Showing This Year?

Most people don’t really have any concept of the amount of time and effort it takes to line up a tour for prospective clients. Commercial real estate is quite different than residential—if only our work was as easy as residential, where all you have to do is call and get access to a lock box! In our case, we have to set up an appointment for each and every listing. In addition, you never know, walking into a vacant building, what you might find. Birds, mice and bats are not uncommon (hold on to your hats!). This year, we had a rooster join us at a flex building showing. Mind you, this wasn’t out in the country, but in Sterling Heights, which has no farms to speak of.

What did YOU find while showing space this year?
