Why I Love Success Magazine

A couple of years ago, my business coach gifted me a year subscription to Success Magazine. I have enjoyed my subscription so much that this past holiday season, I gifted it to many of our clients. What I love about it is how much I’ve learned about the different generations and how they each prefer to work. One thing that struck me as rather odd was that the idea that businesses generally don’t team up two Generation Y members of the opposite sex because they will view it as a date.  How strange! I thought to myself, surely, this can’t be true – so I started talking with some of the young professionals I knew, and they agreed. As a small organization this isn’t something we’ll have a lot of control over but it’s certainly something to keep in mind. The article in question also suggested that when hiring a younger generation, have them start on any day other than Monday, as apparently, this puts them in a better state of mind. I’ve learned lots of tips about these younger generations from Success and I think the knowledge I’ve gleaned from the magazine allows me to treat the Generation Y members I hire in the best way possible. I thank my coach and Success Magazine for making me just a bit smarter this year!
